In Memoriam | Mandy Hain

An amazing artist, passionate Catholic, and a dear friend to so many, alumna Mandy Hain ’07 passed away after a battle with cancer on February 7, 2023 at the age of 41.

“I believe that beauty is not an accessory to our lives, but a necessity through which we are exposed to the Truth,” wrote Mandy. “Without it, we cannot live fully in the image of the First Artist and Creator or enjoy life in a fully human way. I believe that every child is an artist because I think that art is a gift with which every person is endowed through their human nature.”

Mandy gave countless hours of her life to cultivating beauty in the world around her, especially at her alma mater. Her work adorns many buildings around campus, including St. John the Evangelist Library, St. Kilian’s Café, and, most notably, the new Christ the King Chapel.

In honor of Mandy, Christendom has established the Piccolo Bellezze Fund to continue the work she was passionate about and honor her memory by continuing to cultivate beauty and the arts at Christendom College.

Please consider making a donation in honor of Mandy Hain, and please pray for the repose of her soul and the comfort of her friends and family.
